Hello sew-friends! Today, I’m finally sharing the Amy Jumpsuit that I made back in June. I loved wearing this jumpsuit this summer because it’s comfortable in the heat, looks kinda fancy and is just fun to wear.

This fabric is a rayon crepe that I bought while in Copenhagen a year and a half ago. I bought three pieces of fabric from Stoff & Stil while I was there and have been hoarding them for just the right projects. The fabric is really easy to work with and presses well. The fabric also has a nice drape which works well with this pattern.

Hi sew-friends! Today, I’m sharing how to sew tie shoulder straps on a dress, jumpsuit or top. This is a really fun and easy pattern hack that’s also perfect for the summer season. These shoulder straps are fully adjustable and depending on the fit of the garment, can even be used to when you’re taking it on and off. Read on for full step-by-step and instructions and if you want to make your shoulder ties removable, check out this tutorial that I wrote a few years ago. It even includes a free pattern for the shoulder tie and is a great way to add shoulder ties to a garment that you’ve already made.

A few years ago, bodysuits and overalls firmly fell into the category of things that were popular (i.e. I wore) in the 90s and that I did not need to revisit. But now? These one-piece full body garments are wardrobe staples. Especially the bodysuit. I love the bodysuit as a layering piece to keep me warm or to create a super streamlined tucked-in silhouette.
