Today I’m finally revealing the dress I made for the #SEWTALLANDCREATIVE2017 Design Challenge hosted by the Tall Guides and Marge Clothing. Doing any sort of challenge can be a little stressful but this one was really fun AND I’m really, really happy with my dress. If you’ve been following along, the challenge started back at the end of March which feels like ages ago now. Over the last few weeks, I’ve shared my inspiration, my design process, the construction process and today is the final garment. Seriously, I’m so excited to show you this.
DIY Blue Abstract Top
Today I’m sharing a variation of the Peplum Top pattern by In The Folds/Peppermint Magazine. You may have seen this top a few times before, either on Instagram or in one of my monthly WIP posts. I started it last Fall, just as it was starting to get cold outside. So, when I hit a fitting snag, I just set it aside. I finished it back at the end of February and just now sharing it with you. Better late than never, right?
DIY Floral Blouse – Review of the Dove Blouse by Megan Nielsen
Months ago, I paired this gorgeous floral linen to the Dove Blouse pattern and wrote it down in my Colette sewing planner. Whenever I flipped through the planner, I'd see this project and feel that I had made the right pairing but for whatever reason, I wasn't ready to sew it yet. With the days getting longer and flowers seemingly everywhere, I feel like spring has truly arrived and summer is right on its heels. So, my focus has returned to all things pretty, lightweight and summer appropriate.
