As I shared in yesterday's moodboard post, I'm currently on the lookout for comfy tops that will keep me warm, especially sweatshirts. I just bought the Grainline Studio Linden Sweatshirt pattern and can't wait to try it out. So today I have a little DIY sweatshirt inspiration to get the creative juices flowing. Read on to see how I'd make this RTW piece.
How to DIY a Boxy Raglan Sweatshirt
Step 1: Today's inspiration is this Madewell Fleece Raglan. I love the boxy shape. It's a super comfy sweatshirt but styled the right way you could look super cool and put together.
Step 2: For the pattern, I would use View B of the Linden Sweatshirt from Grainline Studio. The shape is so similar to our inspiration top, the only alteration would be to make vents at the side hem.
Step 3: For the fabric, I would choose a soft french terry like this one for the body and a basic black knit for the contrast neck binding.
That's it! A pretty easy DIY. What are you making these days? Any sweatshirts on your mind?
