I had the idea for this project at least a few weeks ago. I've been saving these gouache painted scraps of paper since I took color theory about 4 years ago. I knew that one day the swatches would be useful; that their true being waiting to be realized.
I am cutting up the swatches into various sizes of squares and sewing them into long strands. I keep my foot on the "gas" of the sewing machine and use a stylus to feed the squares under the presser foot. This creates a long garland.

I'm making greyscale and color garlands. More photos when I'm finished. The sewing is a little tedious so multi-tasking is a must.
