I've now made two jackets using Vogue pattern V8232. The jacket is unlined with no closures. It's very easy to make and a current style. The dress is a good pattern too, very classy.
I made the first one about a year ago from a plain black cotton.
I made this second jacket from a vintage fabric I picked up at the thrift store. The fabric was already cut in pieces and I had to be pretty tricky to make it work, especially because it's a plaid. For this jacket, I shortened the sleeves and lengthened the body.
I haven't worn the jacket yet. I need to figure out an outfit for it but hopefully I will soon.
