Can I just take a minute and say how did it already become Fall? I feel like the year is going so quickly. I've loved doing these seasonal sewing goals so I'm going to do it again for Fall. Unlike Spring, I'm not thinking as much about what my wardrobe needs as I am about how to use the fabric in my stash. I've chosen a few fabrics in a fall-ish color palette of orange, teal, brown and cream. I'm only planning on four pieces for Fall so I can get them done a little more quickly and then jump into Winter.
Fall Wardrobe Sewing Plans
1. Lace Top Dress
Pattern: Vogue V8414
I'm making this dress in two fabrics, a sheer printed one for the main body and a black lace for the yoke.
2. Cream Skirt Refashion
Pattern: Self-drafted
In the spirit of using up stash fabric and finishing projects, I'm taking a dress I bought for a refashion project last year and making it into a skirt.
3. Orange Printed Pants
Pattern: Vogue V8657
I've had a vintage orange print fabric in my stash for a while and I think it would look fabulous in a loose pant.
4. Teal Pencil Skirt
Pattern: Self-drafted
I want to make myself the perfect pencil skirt pattern so I'm planning to use the book Design-It-Yourself Clothes by Cal Patch as a guide.
