During the testing of the Lou Box Top pattern a few pattern testers mentioned that they did french seams for a very clean finish on the inside. Personally, I don't like doing french seams because it feels like such a tedious process. But, I thought it was high time that I give it a try for the Lou Box Top. And the good news is that it's really easy to do. Read on to see my tips.
Yesterday, I shared a moodboard of my spring wardrobe essentials. Of course, one of my go-to's for many months now has been the Lou Box Top. This version in particular has been one of my favorites. The bird print is really fun but the colors are not at all frivolous. It's been a great top to wear to work with jeans or a fitted skirt.

For my trip to Hawaii, I made a ton of stuff including pants, a top, a swimsuit and this retro style swim coverup. With just a few simple modifications, I modified my Lou Box Top pattern to create a casual, loose-fitting swim coverup.
