This is my first lined version of the Lou Box Top and I couldn't be more pleased. I figured out a way to construct it that I think is actually easier than the normal construction. I'll be sharing a tutorial for that soon but for now here are a few pics of the finished top.
French Seams for the Lou Box Top
During the testing of the Lou Box Top pattern a few pattern testers mentioned that they did french seams for a very clean finish on the inside. Personally, I don't like doing french seams because it feels like such a tedious process. But, I thought it was high time that I give it a try for the Lou Box Top. And the good news is that it's really easy to do. Read on to see my tips.
Bird Print Lou Box Top
Yesterday, I shared a moodboard of my spring wardrobe essentials. Of course, one of my go-to's for many months now has been the Lou Box Top. This version in particular has been one of my favorites. The bird print is really fun but the colors are not at all frivolous. It's been a great top to wear to work with jeans or a fitted skirt.
