Today I’m excited to announce that you can now buy both of my patterns in one bundle for a discounted price of $16 (separately it’s $19.50 to buy both). The Beginner's Bundle includes both the Lou Box Top and Baseball Skirt pdf sewing patterns. These two patterns are a great way to practice your sewing skills and build your handmade wardrobe. Both are designed for beginners, with easy to follow steps. And as a bonus they use only about a yard of fabric each.
Pattern Launch! The Baseball Skirt
I'm very excited to announce that I have a new sewing pattern available for sale – the Baseball Skirt. This casual elastic waist skirt features in-seam pockets and a curved high-low hem reminiscent of a baseball tee. This pattern is designed for beginners, using the most basic sewing techniques. It's quick to make, taking only an afternoon to complete.
Super comfortable to wear, the skirt sits at the natural waist and with your top tucked in, it creates a trim silhouette. The pattern works well with lightweight cottons (I love it in chambray!) for a casual look. Or, try silk or crepe fabric for a dressier look.
Designed with beginners in mind, the intention is that this pattern will be relatively frustration free and allow beginners to create clothes they love while also building sewing skills. The pattern is available as a pdf download including, a print-at-home pattern, copy shop pattern and illustrated instructions.
For one week, I’m offering a discount of 25% off the Baseball Skirt PDF pattern. Use the code LAUNCH25OFF at checkout (code expires at 11:59pm PDT Aug 27, 2015). Sound cool? Head on over to the shop and check it out!
Happy Sewing!
Beth – Sew DIY
P.S. I want to give a big thank you to everyone that tested the pattern for me. I truly appreciate it. If you make one yourself and share on social media, make sure to use the hashtag #baseballskirt and tag me. I'd love to see what you make!
Pattern Launch! The Lou Box Top
I'm very excited to announce that my first sewing pattern–the Lou Box Top–is now available for sale. The pattern is for a loose fitting top, in six styles. It's a great project for beginners looking to get their feet wet and for more experienced sewists who want to add some quick-to-make basics to their wardrobe.
Designed with beginners in mind, the steps are very easy to follow, using the most basic techniques and the loose fit of the design doesn't require any fitting. The idea is that this pattern will be relatively frustration free and allow beginners to create clothes they love while also building sewing skills. The pattern is available as a pdf download including, a print-at-home pattern, copy shop pattern and illustrated instructions for both woven and knit fabrics.
