I really love the printed pants trend. Yesterday, I talked about how much I love prints in general so incorporating them into the bottom half the wardrobe was a natural fit. I've even made some of my own before. Our inspiration pants look super comfortable and still flattering, plus the black and white print is a very easy one to wear, especially for the print-phobic. Read on to see how I would DIY these pants.
How to DIY Tribal Print Pleated Pants
Step 1: Today's inspiration pants are a high-rise, pleated pant from Asos with a fitted waistband and side pockets.
Step 2: The Papercuts Pleated Pants pattern is a pretty exact match to our inspiration. The waist, the pleats, the back darts and side pockets are all there! Plus this month is Indie Sewing Pattern month so it's only right to feature one.
Step 3: This black and white print is very wearable and very on-trend. I found this great fabric from Michael Levine that is a near exact match to our inspiration. By the way, here's another great tribal print fabric.
What do you think? Would you DIY or even wear these pants? Are you afraid of prints on the bottom half? For more inspiration, check out yesterday's Tribal Prints moodboard and my DIY Fashion pinboard.
